Does Tencel shrink?
Caring for Tencel fabric Tencel will shrink by about 3% on the first wash and will not shrink from then on. Machine washing, with a gentle cycle, is suitable for many garments (read the garment care label), and drip drying is better than machine drying.
Can you Unshrink Tencel? The good news is that we can fix that !! Simply soak the item in a mixture of water and three tablespoons of hair balm for 30 minutes. Carefully stretch it, rinse the conditioner, then lay flat to dry. Voila ~ your clothes will be like new.
